Protecting Your Deposit
Your tenancy deposit is more than just money—it’s peace of mind. That’s why we proudly comply with the UK’s tenancy deposit protection requirements through The Deposit Protection Service (DPS), the largest government-approved scheme in the country.
Whether you’re renting one of our stunning flats in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter or a sleek London property, we ensure your deposit is safe, secure, and handled with care.
How We Protect Your Deposit
-
Custodial Scheme: We use the DPS’s free custodial option, meaning your deposit is transferred directly to the DPS and held securely in a designated account throughout your tenancy. You can trust that it’s protected from start to finish.
-
Legal Compliance: Within 30 days of receiving your deposit, we register it with the DPS and provide you with all required information, including the deposit amount, our contact details, and how to resolve any disputes—keeping us fully compliant with the Housing Act 2004.
-
Swift Returns: At the end of your tenancy, we aim to return your deposit (minus any agreed deductions) within 10 days, assuming we mutually agree on the amount. If there’s a disagreement, the DPS’s free dispute resolution service steps in to ensure a fair outcome.
-
Transparency: You’ll receive confirmation from the DPS once your deposit is protected, and you can check its status anytime via their online portal.
Why This Matters
As a tenant, you deserve clarity and security. Our partnership with the DPS—Trustpilot’s top-rated deposit protection scheme—means your money is safeguarded by a trusted third party, not sitting in someone’s back pocket. For landlords, it’s proof of our professionalism: we meet all legal obligations, so you can let your property with confidence. Since 2008, we’ve built a reputation for efficiency and trust, and our deposit protection process is a big part of that.
