We are proud to confirm that Avery Residential (London) Ltd, formerly known as Rhubarb Property (Birmingham) Ltd, is fully registered with the ICO under our original company registration number. Although our ICO certificate still reflects the old name, Rhubarb Property, rest assured that this is fully compliant because our company number remains the same, and the change is reflected with Companies House. This ensures that our data protection responsibilities have transitioned seamlessly.

What is ICO?

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is the UK’s regulator for data protection, enforcing laws that protect personal data from misuse. ICO registration ensures that organisations, like Avery Residential, are held accountable for their handling of personal data. It assures our clients that their privacy and information are in safe hands as we adhere to data protection best practices.

Why ICO Registration is Important

As a professional property service handling personal data, including contact details, rental information, and financial records, it’s essential for Avery Residential to comply with data protection laws. Our ICO registration is vital because:

  • We comply with the law:  By being registered with the ICO, we follow the legal standards set out by the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.

  • Your data is protected: From storing tenant details to managing property transactions, we ensure your personal data is kept safe and secure at all times.

  • Transparency is key: ICO registration demonstrates our commitment to being transparent about how we collect, store, and use your data.

  • You have rights: As part of our data handling, you have full rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and we are obligated to comply with these rights.

How This Protects You as a Client

Here at Avery Residential, your personal information is handled with care and responsibility, no matter if you’re a tenantlandlord, or buyer. Our ICO registration ensures:

  • Secure data handling: Whether it’s your rental agreement or property transaction details, all data is stored in compliance with data protection regulations.

  • Trust and accountability: By being ICO registered, we show that we take data security seriously and are fully accountable for your personal information.

  • Data breach protection: Should anything unexpected occur, such as a data breach, we have measures in place to inform you promptly and mitigate any risks.
